Gareth is an experienced advisor with over 30 years experience in risk management related disciplines concerned with organisation resilience and crisis management. Over the past 14 years he has led and delivered over 100 assignments internationally and with major government and global commercial organisations over a wide variety of sectors.
His first career as a UK Royal Air Force officer in the RAF Regiment, the ‘survive-to-operate’ branch provided foundations as a commander, contingency planner and trainer. He gained strategic risk management experience leading nuclear, biological and chemical defence for the RAF during operations in the late 1990s.
Before launching Crisisinteface he was for 11 years in senior consultant and principal advisor roles for Marsh McLennen, Ernst & Young and KPMG. In these roles he designed and led advisory and assurance activity to identify, benchmark or re-mediate capability to meet executive management needs. He has led operating model design, investigations following incidents and crisis, benchmarking and major remediation programmes.
Gareth specialises in developing capability for executive and middle management to deal with corporate crisis, incident and operational disruption. Working with executive management in preparation and delivery of corporate crisis training and exercises he has built longstanding relations with crisis leadership and teams.
Gareth comes from a principled background and he provides unbiased advice to senior management based upon experience, technical and practical knowledge gained over his career to date. While working to codes of conduct for professional bodies Gareth is independent of any commercial partners and related service vendors.
